Landscaping

The Wychwood Park land is maintained jointly by WPML and the Hotel.

WPML are responsible for the areas around the hamlets whilst the Hotel manage the Golf Course.

WPML contract "Cropper Grounds Maintenance" to manage and maintain the landscaping.

They provide machinery and landscapers from Monday to Friday. During the summer months the majority of their work involves grass cutting whilst the winter season is primarily maintenance and upgrading.

The Landscapers follow a set work schedule, however the Landscaping Committee & Realty Management liaise monthly with Cropper's area manager to discuss additional requirements and improvements.

You may notice various other private contractors around the Park from time to time carrying out other duties such as; Tree Surgery & Brook dredging

The aim of the Landscaping committee is to maintain our land and to make improvements where possible and practicable.

All of this needs to be kept within budgetary constraints which is why forward planning is paramount.

Part of the remit of the sub-committee is to ascertain where the next area of improvement is going to be, what budget is set aside and what we would like to achieve.

Then a plan of action is required and a discussion with Cropper's to see how they can fit in the extra work within their schedule.
